MEADOW COTTAGE at Hill Top Farm - Nestled in the courtyard of Hill Top Farm behind secure electric gates and a 200 yd tree lined drive, Meadow Cottage offers a rural hideaway with all the comforts of home. Offering a stunning 180 ° panorama across farms, fields and rolling fells the views stretch as far as North Wales Hills, Fylde Coast, Blackpool Tower, (see the illuminations in November) Morecambe Bay, Beacon Fell, Parlick Fell, Chipping and Dunsop Bridge. On certain days one can even see The Isle of Man!
Meadow Cottage offers truly flexible accommodation for all types of guests. Sleeping up to 4 people with 2 double bedrooms and 2 shower rooms, the property is fully flexible and ideal for all types of guests such as - families, groups of friends, couples seeking a romantic getaway, guests attending weddings and celebrations, business travellers and visiting relatives. (Please note we cannot accept infant guests under 5 years)
With stylish and contemporary furnishings and oak floors throughout, Meadow Cottage is truly ‘Green’ - heated by latest Scandinavian ‘geo thermal’ ground source heating technology with underfloor heating throughout and individual room ‘smart’ thermostats. Additional hot water is provided by roof solar water heating panels. But there is also a log burning stove for those nights where only a cosy real fire will do.
With a wide range of footpaths and cycle routes immediately nearby, it provides the ideal base for an activity holiday. However, the village of Longridge is only 1 mile away, within easy walking distance and offers opportunities for relaxation in the numerous inns and restaurants. The main shopping centres of Blackburn and Preston are only 7 miles drive and the internationally famous Trafford Centre Shopping Mall can be reached with a 45-minute motorway drive.
The facilities comprise:-
Modern Kitchen with oven, induction hob, dishwasher, microwave and large capacity fridge freezer. Fully equipped with pots, pans, cooking utensils, cutlery and crockery and accessories by Joseph & Joseph. Washing machine and rotary clothes line in adjoining Bedroom Suite 2 building.
Dining Area with solid oak dining table for 4 (can extend) and dining chairs. Storage cupboard with ironing board and cleaning utensils etc.

Spacious Sitting Room with contemporary leather sofas and armchairs. Sliding full height / full width patio windows onto rear deck with stunning views. 50” Smart TV offers access to Internet, NETFLIX, SPOTIFY, YouTube plus all standard FREESAT HD TV & Radio stations. High quality Bluetooth Stereo player - links to your smartphone or tablet music libraries. Wood burning stove with starter kit of logs, firelighter and kindling. (extra logs etc can be purchased using ‘honesty box’ system)
Valley View Decking Terrace – Stylish woven patio armchairs with cushions and drinks table on ecoflex grey decking with floor mounted halogen mini uplighters for a romantic evening vibe – watch the amazing sunsets over Beacon Fell and savour the panoramic views - even on chilly Autumn nights using the Infra-red patio heaters.
Bedroom 1 – King Size ‘zip & link’ double bed with additional ‘roll out’ 3ft single bed (2+1 for family room layout) - (option for king size double or 2 x 3ft twin beds) with premium mattress, high quality linens and non-allergenic pillows. Copious wardrobe and drawer storage space behind sliding doors with full length dressing mirror. Dressing table and armchair, wall mounted 32” Smart TV offers access to Internet, NETFLIX, SPOTIFY, YouTube plus all standard FREESAT HD TV & Radio stations.
Shower Room / WC – Stylish fully tiled wet room with shower, basin & WC, illuminated vanity mirror and oddments storage cupboard.
Bedroom Suite 2 – A self-contained bedroom suite with option for 2 singles or ‘zip’ double bed. En-suite shower room and WC with heated towel rail and illuminated vanity mirror. Wall mounted 42” Smart TV offers access to Internet, NETFLIX, SPOTIFY, YouTube plus all standard FREESAT HD TV & Radio stations. Bedroom Suite 2 leads on to the rear patio garden area and is immediately next to but not directly linked to main cottage thus affording extra privacy for occupants. (NB - not suitable for unaccompanied guests under 12 years.)
Rear Garden and Patio – spacious lawn and flagged patio area with panoramic views over valley, fells and open farmland. Dining table and chairs with sun parasol. Flagged area for use of portable or disposable barbecues. (not provided)
